Rooted: South Medford

I’m writing this mid-bite because their food is just TOO good not to talk about. I ordered the chickpea melt, and I’ve never had something so perfectly balanced, toasted, and delicious while still being vegan. I also ordered the lemon blueberry cupcake, which is so moist and tasty. The vibe is laid back, bob marley tunes in the background, and a very clean, modern, earthy aesthetic. I’d post more pictures of how nice the atmosphere it, but there’s quite a few customers here for lunch on a Saturday. With a planet fitness gym nearby, this is the BEST pre/post-workout spot. 10/10.

This is going to be long so in advance the TLDR is the food is amazing and definitely go there, now for my review: We spent 71 dollars and got: pulled popper panini (8.3/10) with gf bread replacement, rooted nachos as a rice bowl(9.5/10), apple nachos (7/10), matcha mango smoothie (8.5/10), berry cherry smoothie (9/10) and a cookie which was probably a good 8.6/10. I absolutely would recommend this place. The food was really amazing and their use of the chipotle lime jackfruit was genius, I've never had jackfruit before and could've been fooled that my sandwich had meat in it! Absolutely awesome. I was really happy to find a place with such a great diverse menu while remaining vegetarian and also having gluten free options and (I think) vegan options. The drinks were also great and they have a lot of options. Also as someone who can't eat peanuts it made me very happy to see a menu that isn't using peanuts and is using alternatives!!!! The service was good and the wait wasn't super long at all, it was empty when we got here tho (about 4:30pm, on a Friday) and the atmosphere is great with a welcoming seating area and good music A side thing I loved is they have compostable straws that aren't paper so they're not disintegrating as you drink I think my only criticism would be with the nachos, but this is probably a personal preference thing, but I'd say the ratio of toppings to apple was off, it needed a bit more apple I would also recommend this as more of an individual or date food spot vs whole family just bc I imagine it'd get pricey if it was like four people Overall genuinely one of the best places I've ever eaten, the food was diverse and delicious and service was amazing

The BEST restaurant in Oregon! I travel a lot and the service, food and prices are unmatched! I’ve been going here for years and sometimes drove from Klamath just for the experience!

I had a huge bowl of deliciousness with perfect tofu. There are so many options, including all day breakfast which I’m going back for tomorrow. Super nice people, easy parking, couple outdoor tables. You will have an incredible meal, no worries.

Went back Feb 28 2025, still great. Took my non vegan 19yr old son and he didn't finish the giant plate of nachos and he really liked them too.---- Great vegan place. Not trying to recreate a bunch of meat foods with fake meat. Great flavors. I didn't know what to expect with the candied jalapenos but they were great. Really liked the chipotle lime jack fruit too, they did a great job with it. The texture was great. We each could have split our meal. This place is on my list of MUST come back to places.

Rooted is a great little gem that needs to be known as a fantastic meal destination. All vegan and vegetarian options here we had the not yo mommas nachos and split it three ways and filled up all of us. It was the special for the day at 16.50 and worth every penny. I will make this a regular place for my family

Thank you for making my Oregon birthday meal so special! Loved the banter between the employees while I ate. This place is amazing and if I lived here, I’d spend all my money eating here. That being said, the prices are good, especially considering the portion size. The nachos were enormous.

My wife and I ate here the other day being new to Vegan and it was AMAZING!! So many delicious sounding things on the menu. So what we did was share two different dishes. I really loved the amount of food you get for the price! We still took leftovers of each item home. In the picture on the left is the “Buddha” Bowl and the right is the “Rooted Nachos”. Both were SUPER DELICIOUS and it’s going to make it hard to try other stuff in the future. We already were talking about going there and trying other things while we were there . Thank you for the YUMMY food, friendly service and cozy atmosphere. We look forward to coming back
